Many of his forms of men hurtling through space, give us another apprehension of how we relate to non-visual aspects of our life, such as gravity. These fragments of bodies, stopped as they leap, twist and turn makes us think of the surface of the sea, the shimmer of wind over fields, the weight of rain falling heavily.

It is not the resemblance that is the point. It is not so much that there are resemblances between our own bodies and elements in nature. The art of John Casado is stirring. The answers he proposes to our inquiries as to what our lives mean are his photographs. We perhaps can pose our questions in words. But Casado's answers are his photographs that promise that we have connections to many things in the world. Connections that are most certainly beyond the ability of most humans to verbalize. But they are not beyond our ability to sense that they are there. Nor beyond the abilities of John Casado to capture them with his camera.
